Meet Maryvi Kim, an art director at George P. Johnson based in Metro Detroit. As the daughter of immigrants, Maryvi started school with limited English but found making art was her way to connect with others. Through her work, she strives to build meaningful connections and convey her unique perspective, viewing design as a means of forging bonds and sharing stories. Pursuing design is a luxury that her immigrant family could not enjoy, so with her voice, she wants to nurture and celebrate the connections that make our shared human experience richer and more meaningful.
